Jillian Cyrus, DVM

Dr. Cyrus has been practicing in Veterinary Medicine since 2011, and joined Carlsen Animal Hospital in April 2018. She is originally from the Pacific Northwest and grew up around many animals. When not taking care of animals, she enjoys hiking, traveling, gardening, and exploring her home of Los Angeles with her husband and dogs.

Growing up with a family of doctors she was surrounded by medicine and realized she could combine her love for animals with medicine, and decided from a very young age she wanted to become a veterinarian. She attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where she studied Psychobiology. She graduated from UCLA with honors as a member of the National Leadership & Honors Organization Sigma Alpha Lambda. She then decided to stay in southern California and went on to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian at Western University of Health Sciences where she graduated as a member of the National Honor Society of Veterinary Medicine Society of Phi Zeta honors in 2017.
Dr. Golshahi’s hobbies include reading novels and cat behavior books, running, yoga, meditation, hiking, watching movies, traveling overseas, being with family and friends, and spending time with her cat Richard Parker.
Carlos is our lead veterinary technician and surgical technician. He has been with Carlsen Animal Hospital since November, 2000.
Emily works in different positions at CAH and has been with us since January 2017.
